MOMOKO SCHAFER

Momoko Schafer is a Japanese American artist based in San Francisco, California. She is best known for sculpting with molten glass and explores symbolism while highlighting her intersectionality. She subverts the perceived value of glass and femininity with the use of precious metals and rare glass colors. A particular interest of Momoko’s is using glass for its metaphors as well as setting spiritual intentions with this archival material.
